LCC-P LANDS FIRST IN SPORTS WRITING CONTEST

LCC-P lands First in Sports Writing, Second in Editorial and Cartooning led by Ms. Leandel Labit, members of The Consolinian – the school’s official student application, joined the Division of Secondary schools Press Conference last October 10 and 11, 2005.

The group was awarded Third highest pointer in English and Fifth highest school pointer overall.

Out of the fifteen staff members of the school organ, nine garnered places. Juancho Paolo Fabic landed First in Sports Writing. Associate Editor Kariza Montealegre placed 2 nd in “Pagsulat ng Pangulo Tudling”, 8 th in “Pagwawasto at Pag-uulo”, 8 th in “Pagsulat ng Balita” and was awarded 3 rd highest individual pointer in Tagalog. Editor-in-Chief , Sarah Lopez Pozas secured the 5 th, 4 th and 9 th spots in Feature Writing, Editorial Writing and Copy Reading respectively.

Joanna Empit triumphed 2 nd in “Editorial Cartooning”. Also, Kathryn Sanchez won 6 th place in “Pagsulat ng Bantang Isports” while Geneva Marcelino, the literary editor made her way to the 6 th spot in Feature Writing. Feature Editor Clarisse Sisante sealed the 8 th place, also in feature writing. News Editor Aurea Ison bagged 8 th place in “Editorial Writing” and Sofia Ampo placed 9 th in “Copyreading and Headlining”.

The contest was participated by many other private high schools in Pasig and San Juan and was guested by renowned personalities in writing such as Manuel Roxas III of the Philippine Daily Inquirer
